Research in the area of sports psychology indicates that suggestions given under hypnosis are more effective than those given without hypnosis. In a sports injury context, the use of hypnosis to aid recovery has also been positive. Players have been able to more easily cope with pain and tended to return to their sport earlier.

Of course, all games have a mental component which can influence achievement. From the time Roger Bannister broke the first five minute mile barrier, it is now a common occurance among runners. Similarly, once Mount Everest was conquered many other climbers were able to overcome that particular psychological barrier. Belief of achievability is central. It's often said too that a game of golf is won or lost by what is happening in the subconscious mind, more than the body. The word 'programming' comes to mind.

Whatever your sport, the right mind-set can certainly transform performance. It removes the mental barriers which psychologically limit an athlete or player from rising to the next level of achievement.

You can expect to become more effective in your game, yet have a relaxed and confident state of mind working diligently towards your goal.

All sports are as much a mind game as a physical activity. Hypnosis works by building confidence and strenghtens your determination to be a winner!
